Ten years, already.

Ten years of creation, innovation and design in the realm of eyewear, 10 years of french touch and design, by Paris best “créateurs de tendance“.

When David Beddok and I decided to start Oko Eyewear 10 years ago, we only had one single idea in mind: the global eyewear industry lacked creativity. At that time, there were not so many real french designers. Miki, Lafont, were only known by a bunch of people who already thought glasses could be something different from just a commodity, a viewing correction system.

At that time, such a vision required a lot of courage and money.

At tjat time, in 1999, David and I started Oko Eyewear. Passionate by fashion and eyewear, we imagined frames that above all, resemble to us. That shifted and colored universe created sensation very quickly on a creator segment, that we wanted accessible to everybody. Typified frames or more discrete models, Oko by Oko aimed and touched all publics, without exception.

Ten years have passed. We’ve grown up, from a small Start-up in Paris Le Marais to our new buildings in Ivry, we are now a mid-size company with products available in more than 2000 shops in France. We’re now an international brand, and you can buy Oko eyewear in several countries, including Scandinavia, Canada and even … Australia.

“Les créateurs de lunettes”, our blog, is our next development step. W eenvision the Web - l’Internet - as a social sugar, something in the middle, created to develop links between our brand and our passionate ecosystem, customers and distributors.
