Silmo, will took place this year from the 23rd to the 26th of September in Paris at Parc des Expositions de Villepinte, one of the most important international optical fairs where Oko will be present as exhibitor in the main ally of Hall 6, booth F56.
On the occasion of this new Silmo edition and in the continuity of new products launched in Milan and New York in March 2010, new creations by David Beddok (designer, optician et co leader of the Turtle) will be introduced. For our loyal blog followers, here you are in “avant-première” some new models from our Premium Line.

Oko’s 10 years anniversary

If you attended SILMO 2009’s edition, you may have heard champaing’s familiar sound around. More precisely, justby Oko’s booth.
Nothing special: we just had our 10 years anniversary. 10 years of design, innovation, creation, by France more talentuous eyewear designers.

Screwless glasses: yes we can!

Until not so long ago, screws were the most annoying part of glasses, wether sunglasses or regular ones. Who has never lost the screws a pin of his glasses? No matter the reason - shock or anything else - these damned screws kept … ruining our lives.
The luckiest ones could find this tiny metal object and, with some chance, fix it by themselves. But if the screw slipped , unfortunately into a drain or under a seat, well…
Thanks god, those days are over. Oko invented a brand new system, included with Moko besicles. An ingenious, innovative, well-designed and patented system, developed by David Beddok, that does not require screws: the a mechanical systemwith no screw, fully configurable with “inserts” with the most beautiful color effect.

Say hello to Moko and Kidoko at SILMO 2008

The 2009 SILMO edition will soon open at Paris, Porte de Versailles (from sept 17th to 20th). This event is as famous as le Mondial de l’Automobile, another french event located at the same place, although this is about eyewear and not cars!
All brands, designers, distribution networks and eyewear makers, all around the world, will converge to Paris for a crazy week-end. Of course, Oko Eyewear will take part to the fiesta. We will take the opportunity to demonstrate our 50 new models, OkoByOko Paris, Moko and Kidoko.
